Solo Recitals

Are you looking for a fabulous harpist for your concert series (or just a single concert)?  Look no further!

Katie Damon presented her first public solo recital at the age of 14. Having decided that she wanted to play the harp at the tender age of 13 months, she has since performed across the United States and in Mexico, Japan, Italy, and Hong Kong.

Katie was awarded First Prize in the Advanced II Division of the Midwest Harp Competition in 2020. She was a semifinalist at the Mexico International Harp Competition in 2017 and a finalist at the Young Artists' Harp Competition in 2014, and was also awarded Honorable Mention at the American String Teachers' Association Competition in 2015. Katie is particularly honored to have been awarded a Superior rating for twelve years in a row at the American Harp Society Utah Chapter Festival, in addition to two High Score Awards.

Katie will soon graduate from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Language, both with Honors. She is currently studying with Dr. Heidi Hernandez of Phoenix. Her other major teachers include Julie Gaisford Keyes and Dr. Carrol McLaughlin.
